Happy Thanksgiving!

Finally.....Finally I am making time to write a new post. I cannot believe how much time has gone by since my last post and I CANNOT believe how fast this year has gone. The kids have grown so much that sometimes it is shocking. We have been so busy with Rob working out of town 1-2 wks a month, while he hates being away from home he likes the challenge of running 2 sites and helping out in Louisville with their site. It makes so much extra work for me but I think I have gotten into a good routine when he is gone and the boys have stepped up so much with helping. North Dakota makes it easy for kids to grow up faster, they allow them to work at 14 and even get a permit and drivers license. We think 14 is too young to drive so Caleb is working towards getting one sometime in the future but he did decide he wanted to get a job. He applied at a locally owned gro store called Dan's and he works about 20 hrs a week. He does everything from bagging gro, rounding up carts, cleaning and even cashiering. He works hard and we are very proud of him. He is in the 9th grade, Nd keeps 9th grade in middle school so he will be moving up to high school next yr. Keely will be graduating in May and we cannot believe it. We ordered her cap and gown last wk which made it more real. She will go on in the fall to the Adult Education Center which is still part of the school system just for adults 18-21 yrs old. will interesting to see what she learns from there, she has learned alot from this school. She has such great teachers, and very special aides, esp one named Dianne, she has a very special connection with Keely. She does Keely's hair each day in lots of pretty styles, she accompanies Keely to work and to some of her classes and she has even mastered Keely speak. Which isn't easy to do, you can tell how much Keely loves her. Christopher is in 7th gr and likes being in middle school, he wasn't happy last yr when he found out 6th gr was still in elementary. He has done well and is in choir as well. He has a show coming up Dec. 20th and we are excited to see him perform. He has gotten so tall it is crazy. He has made a lot of friends and made honor roll this past 9 wks. Kyan started kindergarten this yr and he LOVES it. He cried when he was sick, throwing up and fever, and we told him he couldn't go to school. He has alot of friends and has the nicest teacher. She has already taught him so much. He has been in school just 11 wks and is already reading! She also told me in his parent conference that he is the most polite, helpful, respectful child she has ever met. She even said other teachers comment on him being so polite. That made me so proud:) He is such a funny, sweet child. He also has such a good imagination and likes older women, not to mention any names Jennifer and Stephanie, lol. Kelcie, sweet Kelcie, man has she grown. Poor baby girl is still lacking in the hair dept, and only has 8 teeth, and still doesn't talk much but man has she grown. She is a handful, keeps us all on our toes. She has a temper like Keely and mocks alot of what Keely does. She is a daredevil like Caleb, climbs on everything and is strong. She is funny like Christopher, makes faces, rolls her tongue, and loves to laugh and is always smiling. She is loving like Kyan loves to give hugs and seems to have a good imagination when playing. And she is like her dad a white girl;) She is actually starting to be a daddy's girl and gets so excited when he comes home from work. It is really sweet. We are still loving living in Bismarck, the weather is absolutely a perk, even the snow, a girl can get used to this no humidity thing!!

Today is Thanksgiving as you can tell by the title of the post, I hope you all have had a wonderful day. I am so THANKFUL for my wonderful husband who doubles as a great daddy, my beautiful, brilliant children, my amazing family who is always supportive, my best friend Jennifer whose friendship I cherish and all of the things we are blessed enough to experience in this life. We get busy in our lives and sometimes forget to take a moment and focus on the important things or to pick up the phone and make a call or write an email but I hope you all remember how important you are to me. Things can change in the blink of an eye so we should always remember to show the ones we love how thankful we are for them not just on this day.
